About FileMaker Pro

FileMaker Pro is the database engine that is required on each computer to run JobPro Central in multi-user mode. If you require more than 2 JobPro Central users on the network, the FileMaker Server application will need to be installed on a server to host the JobPro Central system. FileMaker Server increases network speed and improves data protection, as well as a number of other advantages, such as scheduling backups during the day.

FileMaker Server software

FileMaker Server can run on either a Windows or Mac OSX server. Older operating systems are also supported. Please email us for more details. Here are the requirements:

Windows server ( for FileMaker Server ):

• Windows XP Professional SP2 or
  
• Windows 2003 Server Standard Edition SP1 or
  
• Windows 2000 Server SP4
  
• Processor: Pentium 4
  
• 256MB of RAM (1GB recommended)
  
• Hard disk: 1GB of available disk space
  

Macintosh server ( for FileMaker Server ):

• Mac OS X (10.4.x or 10.3.9) or
  
• Mac OS X Server (10.4.x or 10.3.9)
  
• Processor: G4 500MHz
  
• 256MB of RAM (1GB recommended)
  
• Hard disk: 1GB of available disk space
  

FileMaker Pro software

FileMaker Pro is installed on each user's computer to access JobPro Central as a guest of FileMaker Server. Here are the FileMaker Pro requirements:

Windows ( for FileMaker Pro ):

• Pentium III 500MHz or higher
  
• 256MB of RAM
  
• SVGA (800 x 600) or higher resolution video adapter and display
  
• Windows 2000 (Service Pack 4), Windows XP (Service Pack 2)
  

Macintosh ( for FileMaker Pro ):

• Macintosh computer with a PowerPC G3, G4, or G5 processor
  
• 256MB of RAM
  
• Mac OS X 10.3.9 or Max OS X 10.4
  

Existing FileMaker Pro users:

The current version of JobPro will run under either FileMaker Pro 7v3 or FileMaker Pro 8.

Note: Please email us if you require JobPro Central for older operating systems. We can also supply older versions of FileMaker Server and FileMaker Pro.

Remember, as a set of FileMaker templates / FileMaker Pro templates, JobPro Central is ready for rapid customization if required, under either FileMaker Pro 7 or FileMaker Pro 8.
