Custom Database Development
KSI has solved a huge variety of challenges for dozens of clients. We have developed over 100 custom database solutions for a very wide range of business functions and enterprises. We have been developing in FileMaker Pro since 1986.
KSI has experience in creating web-based apps for a variety of back ends. Current tools we use include:
We link to MySQL, FileMaker, and PostGreSQL databases.
Lotus/IBM Notes has stagnated and suffered market share decline in the last few years. KSI has a long history of creating new applications in Notes, migrating existing apps from other legacy environments TO Notes, and migrating FROM Notes apps to other environments.
We consider Notes to still be the best solution in many sitations, but recognise that there are other perspectives. We will be pleased to assist you in a (fairly) unbiased assessment of your situation, and assist you with the solutions you require.

Business Process Management
Business Process Management (BPM) is a field of knowledge which encompasses methods, techniques and tools to design, analyze, automate and monitor operational business processes involving humans, organizations, applications, documents and other sources of information. The term 'operational business processes' refers to repetitive business processes performed by organizations in the context of their day-to-day operations, as opposed to strategic decision-making processes which are performed by the top-level management of an organization.
BPM differs from business process reengineering, a management approach popular in the 1990s, in that it does not aim at one-off revolutionary changes to business processes, but at their continuous evolution. In addition, BPM usually combines management methods with information technology. BPM covers activities performed by organizations to manage and, if necessary, to improve their business processes.
The activities which constitute Business Process Management can be grouped into three stages:
